Four killed in Taraba as battle rages over 'checkpoint' killing.
No fewer than four persons have been confirmed killed in Taraba State
following the killingof a Muslim at a checkpoint mounted by Christians
to prevent unauthorized persons getting close to their church.
After the killing, a gun battle ensued to to revenge the killing in
Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The Chairman of Ibi Local Government Area, Isiaku Adam, confirmed the incident.
Ibi said the rampaging attackersburnt houses, shops and other
buildings in the local government.
According to him, the unauthorized checkpoint was manned by Christians
to stop people getting close to their church during the Sunday service
in response to assault onchurches by members of dreaded sect, Boko
Haram.
The spokesperson of the TarabaState Government, Emmanuel Bello, said
troops have deployed to the area
