Power Holding Company treathen to shut down power in Bayelsa state

Yesterday the Bayelsa PHCN alerted its costumer in Bayelsa state that
with the level of flooding in the state might put the whole state in
complete darkness if the flood continues to submerged the state.
The manage says that the level of damage the flood has caused to their
facility is high and that 50 transformer have been shut down permently
and 10 more making it a total of 60 transformers.
The managment presided on the states television pleading that the
consumer should understand why this decision has to be made,One of the
official said"water is a conductor " so we have to take caution.In
order to secure the safety of the state preventive measures have to be
taken and the only measure is Shutting down power if water continues
to submerged transformers and the power stations in the states.
