Former UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor kidnapped

A former Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK),
Professor Ilochi Okafor (SAN) was kidnapped on the early hours Sunday,
by unknown gunmen.
Okafor was accosted and taken away in front of his residence at the
Independence Layout in Enugu. He was said to be on his way to church
for Sunday morning service.
Eyewitness said that the gang sped off with the Professor in a Honda
Sedan car with registration number AQ 347 ABC.
The kidnappers are yet to contact the family or make their ramsom known.
Meanwhile, the Enugu State policecommand is yet to make any statement
on the incident.
