"2face" Idibia accepted the controversial Toyota Prado SUV gift from the profligate governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio.
The Akwa Ibom state government released a photo today showing Mr. Idibia looking on as the commissioner for Information, Aniekan Umanah presented the carkeys to Annie Macauley-Idibia in the presence of her husband and a friend, Jackson Udom.


A source within the Akwa Ibom State Government said Mr. Akpabio had to hurriedly deliver the car to avoid the humiliation that might come from the musician rejecting the gift.
"The governor didn't want to allowtime and space for critics to convince the musician to reject thegift," the source said.
"He believes that might dent his image."
