Fooding in Bayelsa State

Share & Comment

The recent release of water from a dam in Cameroun to Nigeria had caused damage to property in some states of federal Republic of Nigeria, states like Bayelsa, and a host of others have been submerged making thousands of people homeless in the affected areas. Many rural communities around the river bank have been submerged. The situation is geting worse day by day .The east/west road which is the only link to other states has been submerged leaving little or axcess to neighbouring states,Port Harcourt, the mbiama Ahoad area is gradually submerging. The Epie lake has been blocked for year now, which would have been of help.Due to lack and poor drainage system in the states show that it might get worse if Cameroun releases water from their dam in few days.Communities like Akenfa,Igbogene, some part of Okutukutu,Tombia amonge other have to been submerge.
